DETAILED ITINERARY

Day 01:-  Chandigarh- to Narkanda(170 KM 05 Hrs 20 KM).
Today morning, our representative will meet you in Chandigarh & drive Narkanda. On arrival drive to sightseeing in Narkanda, It is a very beautiful place in the lap of the Himalayas. Enjoy the panoramic views of valleys & mountains on the way. Enroute to Hatu Temple which is situated at the top of the town. 11,150 Ft. of height from sea level. It’s a 8 KM journey from Narkanda. After sightseeing, drive back to Shimla.
Dinner & Overnight stay at hotel.

Day 02 :- Narkanda to Sangla & Local Sightseeing.
Chitkul is a village in Kinnaur district of Himachal Pradesh. It is the last inhabited village near the Indo- Tibet border. The Indian road ends here. The Baspa valley is the prettiest valley in the Himalayas. Its terrain and green vegetation on the slopes are not very steep. A populous village situated on the right bank of the Baspa is built on a slope with the houses rising one above the other with gigantic Kinner Kailash peak dominating the scene. The valley is also known as Baspa river valley, the valley is speeded from Chhitkul to Karchham. Chhitkul is another beautiful place of the valley. Kamru fort, river bank are the sightseeing of the day.Overnight stay at Sangla/Rakcham.

Day 03:-  Chitkul to– Kalpa 53 KM. 02 Hrs.
After breakfast this morning, check-out from your hotel and drive to Kalpa. 2670 metres above the sea level, Kalpa is the district headquarter of Kinnaur and was once the favorite getaway of Lord Dalhousie. On reaching Kalpa, check-in to your Hotel. Once known as Chini, little has changed in Kalpa in the last 500 years. Legend has it that when Lord Dalhousie wanted to take a break from his hectic schedule in Shimla, he would come here on his Horseback. By the side of Kalpa is a 79-foot rock formation that resembles a Shivlinga that changes the colour as the day passes and is visible to the naked eye on a clear day. After lunch, rest in your hotel for a while. In the evening, visit the Buddhist Gompa – Hu Bu Lan Kar. Return to your hotel for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 04:- Kalpa – Nako -Tabo (160 KM/Approx 5 hrs drive)
Today you will notice a dramatic change in the landscape as you enter from Kinnaur valley to Spiti valley-the green Kinnaur valley is suddenly replaced by the dry desert of Spiti valley. You drive along Satluj River to Khab where Spiti River meets Satluj. From Khab it is an uphill drive on a zigzag road to Nako village, visit Nako Lake  and then to Tabo.  Check into a hotel in Tabo. Evening visit more than 1000 years’ old Tabo monastery (Established in 996 CE) which houses the ancient scriptures and ancient thangka paintings. Overnight stay in a hotel at Tabo.
Dinner & overnight stay.

Day 05:- Tabo – Kaza with Dhankar(90 KM/Approx 3-4 hrs drive)
Leave after breakfast and you spend the whole day on the road making some side excursions to visit the remote villages and monasteries.  Dhankar monastery is situated on top of a hill and is approachable by a small mountain road. Arrive Kaza and check in at the hotel. Overnight stay in a hotel at Kaza.
Dinner & overnight stay.

Day 06:- In Kaza-Key Monastery – Kibber  Village(4270 meters) – Chicham Bridge.
This day you will make a side excursion to visit Key Monastery and Kibber village, one of the highest permanently inhabited villages in the world. After noon, Chicham Bridge is situated above a deep gorge about 1000 feet high. Before this bridge the villagers of chicham used a dangerous ropeway to cross this section. Evening drive back to Kaza.  Overnight stay in a hotel at Kaza.
Dinner & overnight stay.

Day 07:- Kaza to Chandertal.(100 KM 3/4 hrs)
Early checkout from the hotel & proceed to Chandrataal base camp via Kunjum pass. On arrival check in at Camps .Overnight stay and meals at Chandrataal base camp (at fixed camps 3 kms before the Chandrataal lake).

Day 08:- Chandertal Lake & Kunzum Pass (4500 M)– Rohtang Pass(3900 meters ) –Manali (200 KM/Approx 9-10 hrs drive) Via Attal Tunnel.
Leave after early breakfast from Chandertal to Manali over Kunzum Pass (4500 M) from where you have beautiful view of the high Himalayan peaks. Once we cross Kunzum Pass we enter into Lahul valley via Atal Tunnel. Then drive through Rohtang Pass(3900mtrs) & arrive at Manali. Overnight stay in a hotel at Manali.
Dinner & overnight stay.

Day 09:-  Manali to Chandigarh drop 275 KM. (07 hrs.)
Today morning after breakfast check-out from the hotel & drive to Chandigarh.
This would be your tour’s end but sweet memories always remain……. 🙂
